Taxpayers in Westmoreland County Win as
Project Labor Agreements Are Banned
"Westmoreland County's Republican commissioners on Monday
rescinded a labor agreement they said favored union contractors in the
bidding processfor county construction projects.
To fulfill a promise made during last year's election campaign, commissioners
Charles Andersonand Tyler Courtney reversed the 2009 vote by the former
Democratic majority board of commissioners who approved the controversial
project labor agreement."

The NLRB has posted a new rule that will require you to post a
“Employees Right to Unionize” poster in your workplace by April 30, 2012.
To get a copy of the poster for free, head to www.nlrb.gov or contact ABC.
ABC National has developed a counter poster that you may put up directly
next to the NLRB poster, telling employees they have a right NOT to join
a union, to be paid on merit, etc.
