These terms and conditions (these “Terms”) govern your registration for and participation at any ABC Western PA event (the “Event”) and are an agreement between ABC Western PA (or such other applicable ABC contracting entity noted ) ("ABC," "we," "us," or "our") and you. You represent to us that you are authorized to enter into these Terms.

Making a registration ticket order for an Event constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and your agreement to comply with them. Please read these Terms carefully before you complete an ticket order. These terms tell you how registration ticket order can be made, changed and cancelled, and other important information

1. Cancellation period

Cancellation terms will apply once a completed booking has been received either via the ABC website or as a completed booking by email (inclusive or exclusive of payment). Please note that cancellations can only be accepted in writing and are subject to the following conditions:

  • By You. Cancellations must be received more than 15 days before the event start date for a refund of the full fee. Cancellations received less than the above number of days before the event start date will not be refunded.
  • By Us. We may cancel the Event at any time for reasons including, for example, availability or suitability of venue or speakers or on security, health, or safety grounds, and we may deny, limit, or cancel your Event registration at any time. We are not responsible for any damages, direct or indirect, resulting from such cancellation. If we cancel the Event or your registration and you are in compliance with these Terms, we will issue you a refund of your Event registration fee in accordance with the refund policy on the Event’s registration webpage.

2. Your Registration

  • Submitting an registration ticket order through our online event system does not guarantee you a place at any of our Events. We will issue an automated email confirmation of your registration. Your place at the Event is not guaranteed until (a) payment of the Event Fee (if applicable) is received or (b) you receive an email from us confirming your place is booked.
  • If we cannot accept your registation, we will let you know by email and refund any payment made.
  • It is your responsibility to ensure that the information you provide to us during the registration ticket order process is complete and accurate.

3. Payment of the Event Fee (where applicable)

  • The Fee for the Event will be shown on our website on the page for the Event.
  • You agree to pay Your account balance on time.
    • Payment is due 21 days from invoice date or before the event takes place, whichever is soonest. You also understand and agree that You will be billed for and will pay any outstanding balances if You cancel Your registration.
    • Your receipt of our invoice and/or confirmation completes our contract with You. Non-payment of invoices are subject to debt collection activity.

4. Payment methods

  • Purchases of tickets made through the website must be made by credit or debit card. If the credit or debit card information that You submit is incorrect or invalid, Your payment will not be processed. We have no responsibility or liability if Your credit or debit card is declined by Your financial institution. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor.

    5. Free-to-attend events

    • Any event YOU book for a free-to attend event is freely transferable to a colleague within your organization and no charge will be incurred if a colleague attends in Your place provided We have been notified by You or the replacement in advance. Replacements can be notified to us at any time before the day of the event.
    • If neither you nor any colleague is able to attend an event please notify us at least 72 hours prior to the event.

    6. Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability


    6.1 ABC gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Event or any materials related thereto or offered at the Event and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing this Agreement, disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness, and merchantability. The Event is provided on an “as-is” basis. The views, opinions, and positions expressed by the speakers, attendees, or sponsors at the Event are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect the views, opinions, or positions of ABC or any employee thereof. ABC makes no representations as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, suitability, or validity of any information presented by speakers, attendees, or sponsors at the Event and will not be liable for any errors, omissions, or delays in this information or any losses, injuries, or damages arising from its display or use.  ABC does not endorse, and expressly disclaims all liability relating to, any of the products or services provided by speakers, attendees, or sponsors.

    6.2 Except as required by law, neither ABC nor its affiliates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Event or other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement.

    6.3 The maximum aggregate liability of ABC for any claim in any way connected with, or arising from, the Event or this Agreement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission), shall be limited to the amount paid by you to ABC under this Agreement.

    7. Force Majeure

    • Neither party shall be in breach of this agreement or shall owe any liability to the other if it is prevented from or delayed in performing its obligations or from carrying on its business, by a Force Majeure Event, provided that the other is notified of such a Force Majeure Event and its expected duration. If the period of delay or non-performance continues for three months, the party not affected may terminate this agreement by giving 30 days’ written notice to the affected party.

    8. Governing Laws

    Entrant hereby understands and agrees that this Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Pennsylvania.

    9. Entire Agreement

    These Terms together with the Privacy Policy and any ABC Event terms and application or registration form (where relevant) state the entire agreement and understanding between you and ABC relating to your attendance at the Event and supersedes all previous terms, communications and discussions whether written or oral relating to that subject matter.
